We were instructed to manage an energy provider claim at a residential property in South East London following a leak from the floor above. Water had passed through the ceiling and saturated the kitchen floor, with moisture becoming trapped beneath the lino floor covering.

Identifying Trapped Moisture Beneath the Kitchen Floor

Our technician attended the property to assess the extent of the water damage and determine the most effective drying solution.

The lino flooring was carefully removed, revealing trapped moisture beneath the surface. The standing water was then mopped and extracted to prevent further damage to the floor construction.

Specialist Kitchen Floor Drying

Once the excess moisture had been removed, we installed suitable specialist drying equipment to complete the drying process.

The equipment remained in place for five days, allowing the affected kitchen floor to dry efficiently while keeping disruption to the customer to a minimum.

The drying programme was completed successfully within five days, leaving the customer satisfied with the speed of the response and the minimal disruption caused.

Once drying was complete, the reinstatement team was able to begin:

  • Redecoration of the affected areas
  • Installation of replacement flooring
  • Restoration of the kitchen to its pre-loss condition
